Julian Emery is a British musician, producer and songwriter, best known for his work with McFly, Nothing But Thieves and Lissie. He started his career as a session guitarist playing for many pop artists including, Atomic Kitten, Enrique Iglesias, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift, then turned his attention to writing and production. He co-wrote and co-produced ‘Motion in the Ocean’, the #1 album by McFly which spawned three UK #1 singles including the ever popular ‘Star Girl’. Trips to the U.S. have seen collaborations with Simple Plan, Gavin DeGraw, the Plain White Ts and Lissie (including the much loved ‘When I’m Alone’) Emery's imprint on Nothing but Thieves' discography is profound, having contributed to all four of their albums over the past decade.
